On my way to the Bard Graduate Center in the upper west, I walked by a wonderful building front decorated by small tiny tiles that are like mosaics, however, they were mounted on, therefore it was more of a 3D component rather than 2D. Earlier this week, I came across some tile works in the walls of the subway station in Bryant Park, and different art works that are in numerous locations throughout the city, this one is a winner!! I think it is because it isn't arranged to connect and because they are beveled on top of the surface. I found that to be much more interesting. I love the color contrast in the tiles and the background....Another Inspiration sparking up...
